Your family can explore fascinating destinations across the world.
All our family cycling holidays offer varied routes with lots of opportunities for independent exploring and many stops along the way. Many of our suggested routes use quiet country lanes, and pass the most interesting buildings and scenery of the area - picture the rural roads and chateaux, coastal tracks and hidden coves, there's a lot out there to see.
How do you know it's the right difficulty
All our cycling holidays have a marker to indicate how the journey will be. The 1-bike tours are mainly flat and gentle routes. But young ones won't find it boring - you often get a short climb and even a freewheel descent! It's roughly 2-4 hours on each cycling-day with lots of time to relax. Then our 2-bike tours offer families a varied cycling terrain. This will appeal to kids (big or small) who like a bit more of a challenge, but no special technical skills are required. Book your fantastic family adventure today. How to have the most family fun on a cycling holiday
On an family cycling holiday you're free to explore at your own pace, so nobody has to feel any pressure, and you can take breaks when you please. This makes getting meals together easier. Whether it's picnic on beach along the emerald coast, or dinner in one of the famous castles of the great Loire Valley, the choice is yours! And to help you find your way from A to B we provide comprehensive maps and in depth route notes. These highlight the track, showing you places of interest, and give you enough info to explore the area as a team. For a family cycling holiday, with children up to about 4 years, we have child seats which attach to adult bikes. For older children (8+) we have special mountain bikes so that the whole family can enjoy a cycling holiday together.
