TRIP DESCRIPTION

Spend a week on the stunning coast of the Outer Mani, a region of Greece less travelled and more authentic, where majestic mountains meet ancient history. Imagine a land adorned with remnants of ancient civilisations, where every stone and path tells a story. Your Greek adventure begins with one night in the bustling town of Kalamata, renowned for its namesake olives. Next, move to the serene coastal countryside of Kardamyli, where you will stay for three nights near the beach. Your last three nights are spent in historic Areopoli, the city of Ares.

The untouched beauty of Outer Mani's paths, once walked by Spartans, beckons you to explore. Follow ancient mule paths to Sotirianika's olive orchards and discover the region's charm. Visit Acropolis, one of the prettiest towns in Greece. When it comes to local flavours, the Peloponnese is a true culinary delight. The region is renowned for its wines, particularly the celebrated red Agiorgitiko and the crisp white Mantineia. Additionally, the Peloponnese takes pride in being the home of Corinthian raisins, adding a sweet touch to its culinary selection.

Next, visit the Gorge of Viros, spanning an impressive 20km, making it one of the largest and most spectacular gorges in Greece. Explore the charming village of Proastio, known for its traditional stone buildings. Along the way, immerse yourself in the serene beauty of the olive groves and the timeless architecture of the region. To end the day, relax and unwind on the beautiful Foneas Beach. Swim in turquoise waters while gazing at the majestic Parnonas mountain, blending adventure with relaxation in beautiful Mediterranean landscapes.

The trip culminates with a visit to the Diros Caves, famously known in Greek mythology as the entrance to the underworld. Formed over millions of years through repeated geological processes, this natural wonder is one of Greece's most extraordinary cave systems.

You will stay in three coastal hotels, not moving every day, giving you the freedom to choose when to walk and when to have a relaxing beach day.
