TRIP DESCRIPTION

Experience Crete like never before on our walking holiday, where nature, history, relaxation, and delicious cuisine come together seamlessly. Picture yourself strolling along ancient shepherd trails, your footsteps harmonising with the sounds of vibrant gorges and rugged coastal paths. By the sunlit Mediterranean waters, uncover the hidden gems of Crete.

Starting in the charming city of Chania, your adventure takes you to the Samaria Gorge in the Samaria National Park, West Crete's crowning jewel and Europe's longest gorge. Wander through lush gorges filled with vibrant Cretan flora, immersing yourself in the island's natural beauty. The journey along the southern coast reveals historical treasures, from the peaceful village of Sougia to the ancient ruins of Lissos. Marvel at the Temple of Asklepios, a famed healing sanctuary, and see mosaic floors that whisper tales from the past. Relax and swim in the magical village of Loutro.

Savour the unique wines of Crete, crafted from local vineyards and rich in distinct, regional flavours. If you go out for a Cretan meal, it'll usually start with a variety of meze starters. Meze comes from the word 'Mezedes,' meaning little delicacies. It's a great way to try several tasty dishes of traditional Cretan cuisine made from high-quality local ingredients.

Along the way, spot majestic golden eagles and vultures soaring above the White Mountains, blue rock thrushes, and golden orioles add splashes of colour to the lower landscapes.

Embrace the island's relaxed pace, savouring every moment of this idyllic Greek retreat. Here, time slows down, allowing you to fully appreciate life and create lasting memories. Join us on this magnificent journey through Crete, exploring its beauty and culture in a friendly, authentic manner.
