For over 35 years, our team has been carefully selecting the finest, friendliest, and most unique accommodations. So, while you’re on one of our Cycling Holidays, each tailored to guide you towards the region’s best sights and local cuisine, rest assured you’ll also benefit from staying in one of our characterful accommodations, where the hoteliers give you a warm welcome every time.
If you’re looking for a beautifully restored castle stay, our Catalan Classic Walk and Contrasts of Catalonia Cycling takes you to the enchanting Castell d’Emporda. This superb 700-year-old castle was owned for centuries by the Margarit Family, and after Salvador Dali’s failed attempt to purchase the castle in 1973 in exchange for his artworks, the castle is now in the hands of friendly owners Albert and Margo. Decorating the interiors with furniture collected from their travels in China, India, and Morocco, the historic Castell d’Emporda also houses Europe’s biggest scale model of the Battle of Waterloo.
To soak up the unique architecture in the Puglia region, our Puglia - cycling the heel of Italy trip, allows you to stay in one of Matera’s fascinating ancient cave dwellings. Hailed as the “City of Culture” back in 2019, Matera’s intricate cubist structure peppered with rock-hewn churches have dwellings dating back a remarkable 7,000 years, making Hotel Sassi a truly unique place to stay. You’ll also enjoy a charming experience in Trullidea, a traditional 15th century conical-shaped Trulli house in Alberobello.
We also offer more modern stays in hotels with luxury spas. On our Cycling from Bruges to Brussels trip, you’ll enjoy staying in Hotel Vé, located in the heart of Mechelen. A former fish smokehouse and cigar factory in 1923, Hotel Vé has kept their original structures but now offers elegant rooms overlooking the Dijle River and St. Rumbold’s Cathedral. Complete with a wellness centre, hot tub, and a Turkish steam bath, the hotel is only 450 yards away from the city centre and the beautiful Grote Markt, giving you the perfect base to explore the city.
