One of my favourite regions in France is the Loire Valley, I love our Cycling the Chateaux of the Loire trip.
It is simply perfect for gentle cycling so you can really enjoy the stunning scenery that surrounds you, the wine tasting opportunities and the delicious French local cuisine is a real highlight too, and not to mention the Chateau’s en route.
Our visit to Chateau de Chenonceau was definitely a highlight. We enjoyed a delicious picnic in the gardens of the Chateau, with local produce from the market in Amboise – superb!
We cycled along riverbanks, through vineyards and bustling towns and saw many fairy tale castles. Of course, we also sampled some of the Loire Valley’s white wines which the region is famous for.
The Loire Valley is known as The Garden of France, it certainly does not disappoint with its outstanding cultural landscape. You’ll discover so many historic towns and villages and great architectural monuments, not to mention the Loire river. The gastronomic food and divine wines are definitely reasons to visit too!
Many more highlights of the area are Chateau visits to Chambord, Cheverny and overnight stays in Ambois, Blois & Chenonceau.
Not only will you experience the highlights of the Loire valley, but you’ll be staying in luxurious 4* accommodation. We have an expert local agent on hand to assist and provide top quality bicycles. Everything is taken care of; all you have to remember is your passport and how to ride a bike!
Take the region in, go at your own pace and simply absorb the ambiance that the Loire has to offer.
