TRIP DESCRIPTION

Walking in this archipelago is simply good for the soul. You will discover a landscape full of gentle surprises, shifting in a kaleidoscope of colour. Meander in Guernsey along rugged cliff paths carpeted with gorse and wildflowers as the tide laps against the sweeping shoreline below.

Sark offers a truly unique holiday experience for those wanting to escape the hustle and bustle of modern-day life. Being a car-free Island you will only meet walkers, cyclist or horses and carriages on the Island.

Wander through wooded valleys and country lanes to birdsong, or gently amble along the marina to enjoy local food and drink at a seaside pub nestled in a French-style fishing village. As the sinking sun lights up the evening sky, paddle your tired feet in clear local waters when the day is done.

Explore these unique islands in a large splash of green and blue and get ready to be amazed!

Terrain

Walks on this holiday are gentle and flat. There are no tough climbs. Walks are through villages, woods and along coastline.

Arrive at Saint-Peter's-Port, the capital of Guernsey, its scenic harbour and its historic gardens. You will discover a natural island. Depending on your arrival time in Guernsey, you can walk to the south from Jerbourg Point. Day 2: Guernsey : The South Coast (19km/11.8mi)

From Icart Point, your route heads west along the spectacular cliff path with coves, beaches, wild coastline and a moorland plateau, heather and gorse. On a clear day you can see the French coastline and the Cliff Path offers stunning views over the ocean and coastal cliffs. Mind the steps as they form part of this coastal path. For more flexibility, we suggest to use the local public transport (bus) to reach the walk starting point and to come back to the hotel.

Day 3: Discover Sark (14km/8.7mi)

Today, explore one of the smallest Channel Islands: Sark (ferry crossing to pay locally). Considered the crown jewel of the Islands, Sark is a wonderful place to escape to. With no cars and unpaved roads, you can step back in time to unspoilt landscape. Today's route leads you from 'big Sark' to 'little Sark' and the crossing of the Coupee, a spectacular rocky ridge overlooking the sea. It will be one of the highlights of your program. Boat back to Guernsey.
