REVIEWS

Already recommended it to my neighbor! The agents were very responsive and the tour was well-designed.

Ms Graham, 21 Sep 2024

I've had a number of cycling holidays with Headwater all of which have been managed well by helpful staff.

Mr Ong, 16 Sep 2024

I have been on 3 Headwater cycle tour holidays now and all have been excellent. The routes, accommodation and arrangements have all been very good. I have enjoyed visiting the countries immensely.

Mr Stanley, 16 Sep 2024

Good planning and close attention to detail. Everything was as we'd hoped

Mr Sewell, 16 Sep 2024

Cycling in the Peloponnese began in the mountains where it was quite cold mid September.

The routes are mainly on lovely roads with no traffic and great panoramas.

Road surface varies from really good, to not to good, but small tracks are on the whole, good.

It’s not too hot in September but a lot of restaurants have closed too, so better to take something to sustain you during the ride. The Greeks are warm friendly people and they always give big portions at very reasonable rates.

A Valued Customer, 14 Sep 2024

This was an outstanding holiday, fantastic cycling route mapped fantastically by Headwater, through quiet roads across the Greek countryside, good distances each day. Bikes provided were fabulous, near new, in perfect condition. Collection and transfers perfect, and return to Athens accommodated out needs. Overall brilliant experience and would use Headwater again without hesitation and as a first choice of cycle tour company.

Jeremy Levy, 11 May 2024

Organisation hard to fault. We have had no problems with any of the 5 Headwater holidays. "Add ons" to holiday accomodated with no issues.

Simon Whalley, 30 Sep 2023

Cycling was underated, the routes were amazing. The hotels were overated. EG: advertised outdoor pool and spa. There was no spa and the pool was green and unusable.

HARRISON, 13 May 2023

A good holiday to view Greek archaeology.

Mr Taylor, 29 Apr 2023

Nice time of year to cycle although a little chilly in the evening. Cycle routes were good to excellent regarding scenery/road quality. Avoid Easter weekend as very few restaurants are open in Tripoli.

Mr Makin, 15 Apr 2023

I thoroughly enjoyed this trip and loved to see the contrasts in scenery/season as you move down from the mountains to the coast. The archaeological sites were well worth visiting, some are really quite extensive. Hotels were all good with very friendly staff/owners and copious breakfasts and plenty of options in all places for getting meals in the evening. Local agent was great when setting us up with the bikes and letting us know about bag transfer arrangements. He also pre-warned us about loose dogs in some areas - these are very territorial but only for a very short distance so we kept our heads down and cycled through them - sometimes using the boost on our e-bikes to get through more quickly!
