TRIP DESCRIPTION

Enjoy a 7-night walking holiday through Germany's enchanting Black Forest, culminating at the picturesque Lake Constance. This journey takes you through a landscape rich in legend, natural beauty, and cultural heritage. The Black Forest, known for its dense woods and charming villages, offers a perfect blend of adventure and tranquillity.

Start your adventure at the heart of the Black Forest with a visit to the Titisee, Germany's largest low mountain lake. This stunning lake was formed by the ancient Feldberg Glacier. The clear, glacial waters and surrounding forest create a peaceful setting, ideal for beginning your journey.

As you continue your walk, you'll cross romantic valleys and untouched forests, following scenic country paths. You'll pass through quaint villages with timber-framed houses and beautiful gardens, showcasing the area's rich cultural history and dedication to preserving its heritage.

While in the region, be sure to try the Black Forest gateau, a delicious layered chocolate cake with whipped cream and cherries, and sample the local cherry schnapps. This adds a delightful culinary experience to your journey through the Black Forest.

The path to Lake Constance takes you through trails leading to Achdorf, where the river turns toward the Rhine. You will reach Blumberg via the waterfalls of Schleifenbach. Finally, you will arrive in Singen and continue to the majestic Lake Constance, located at the meeting point of Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. This expansive lake, with its clear waters and stunning alpine backdrop, provides a perfect finale for your adventure.

If you'd like to explore more of the area, consider extending your holiday with a stay in Saig or Radolfzell, Germany, or in Basel or Zurich, Switzerland.

REVIEWS

So far (booking by a phone call) the experience has been positive. Luke was friendly, approachable, but professional and told me all I needed to know, along with a little more information as well. I was very happy with the service.

Excellent throughout.

19 Sep 2024

I am actually irritated that I am being asked to provide feedback before I have even had the holiday. Now you want to know how the booking process went. Most of us do have lives and can fill the time without fulfilling marketing procedures .
